La Plaça Gourmet Cafeteria, located atop El Corte Ingles in the heart of Barcelona, is consistently praised for its impressive city views and diverse culinary options. Visitors appreciate the wide variety of dishes offered, ranging from traditional Spanish fare such as paella to international choices, all at affordable prices. The cafeteria’s self-service format provides convenience, especially for solo travelers or those seeking quick meals. While food quality is generally regarded as good and portions generous, some reviewers note occasional issues with temperature as meals may have been prepared in advance. The staff is often described as friendly and accommodating, contributing to a pleasant dining atmosphere. One noted limitation is the early closing time, aligned with the mall’s schedule, which may affect late dine-in plans. Overall, the venue is celebrated for its combination of affordability, variety, and outstanding views, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists seeking a convenient and scenic meal experience.

if you are a solo traveler and don’t know where to have single portion paella then check out this food court above El Corte Ingles. this is a self service food court with an amazing view of the city. they have all sort of spanish food available, i ordered the assorted paella which was seafood & pork and it was delicious (~11€). i think the view definitely worths more than the food, lol. it’s clean and comfortable, a great place to grab a budget meal while enjoying the beautiful sunset.

On my last night in Barcelona, I was around Plaça Catalunya and really craving paella. There were plenty of places to choose from, but I noticed one with great reviews and surprisingly affordable prices. It was located, if I'm not mistaken, on the top floor of a department store. The food court offered a wide variety of options, including Asian, Italian, and Spanish cuisine. They even had dedicated areas for paella, sandwiches, and cafés. I ended up ordering seafood paella, and I also got a side of chicken tenders. I had originally wanted to get calamari, but I didn’t realize they had it until after I’d already ordered the chicken. For just €23, I was really happy with the portion size and the overall quality of the food. It was a lovely, affordable spot to enjoy a decent meal without breaking the bank. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal near Plaça Catalunya.

Lots of varieties, was delicious but a little bit cold as it had been out for a while but the price was good and they gave me a big portion so it was quite filling. The price wasn't bad either

This is my new favourite spot in Barcelona! Affordable main dishes and desserts, with plenty of variety in terms of cuisine types. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. And the view of the city was wonderful! The only downside was that the place (along with the whole shopping mall) had to close at 9:00pm sharp - but apart from that, this is an unmissable spot at the heart of the city

The place is on the top floor of El Corte Ingles which is a massive store for any and everything you can think of. You could spend a day on each floor. You have lots of food and drinks options including alcoholic. We went for dessert since we weren't that hungry. The carrot cake was the best, then the chocolate filled pastry & apples croissant tart. The bottle of chocolate milk was awesome just needed to be on ice to keep it colder. The lady was not friendly at all as I tried to ask questions about a couple of desserts. I'm not fluent Spanish but my spanglish get my point across okay. She was Spanish only so that's my low service score.

This place is a must-visit! The view from the terrace is absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. We went for a late dinner and were blown away by the scenery. The food was really good too, fresh and flavorful. Service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. I can't wait to go back and soak it all in again!

Great food with a cracking view of Catalunya Square and Barcelona skyline. Nice selection of food from Asian to Western, hot food to desserts. There’s something for everyone. I recommend Fideuà, the Noodle Paella. There was a beautiful sweet prawn taste in every mouthful. I think it was prepared with lots of prawn heads and shells. The bottom of the dish was covered in those gorgeous prawn oil. The texture of the pasta was also fantastic, it was perfectly balanced between al dente and overcooked.
